Jonas' journey through the world of bar culture and how Private Drinking Affairs came about

Jonas has been living his passion for classic bar culture since 2007. The start of his journey was the “Cocktails & Dreams” forum, an online community for high-quality drinks. It was here that he made his first contacts and learned from the best — many of today's big names in the bar scene also come from this community.

His path led him to Heilbronn University, where he studied wine business administration. Here he expanded his knowledge in marketing, storytelling and business administration and received in-depth training in his sensory skills. He wrote his bachelor thesis on the topic of “Enthusiastic guests in upscale beverage gastronomy” with an inspiring score of 1,3.
During a seven-month stay in Berlin, Jonas worked for the consulting agency Barworkz and continued to hone his skills as a bartender in various Berlin bars.

After completing his studies, Jonas moved to renowned Stuttgart bars, where he quickly rose through the ranks and was nominated as “Newcomer of the Year” and “Host of the Year” at the Mixology Bar Awards. In 2018, together with two business partners, he opened the speakeasy cocktail bar “TinTin Bar” in Stuttgart, which was one of the best new bars in 2020.

Jonas used the Corona period to deepen his knowledge of beverage technology and bottled cocktails. In July 2024, out of the urge for new challenges, he decided to leave the TinTin Bar and found Private Drinking Affairs — a new chapter in his impressive career.

But Jonas wants more. He wants to revolutionize gastronomy and make it fit for the future. His goal: exquisite drinks for everyone, everywhere. With Private Drinking Affairs, he goes far beyond the classic bar. He not only offers first-class bottled cocktails and limited, crazy creations, but also comprehensive consulting services. From signature development and process optimization to employee training and modern work concepts — Jonas brings a breath of fresh air to the gastronomy. He stays up to date and sets new standards in the world of high-quality drinks.
